Dental Care Centre ("we", "our", "the clinic") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit dentalcarecenter.org, book a consultation, or contact us — and what we do with it.

This policy applies to the website and to your interactions with the clinic where data flows back through digital channels (booking forms, WhatsApp messages, email, phone calls logged via our website).
What we collect
When you book a consultation
To schedule and confirm an appointment we collect: your name, mobile number, email (optional), preferred service, and the brief description you write in the "what brings you in today" field. Your mobile number is verified once via a one-time WhatsApp code before the booking is created.
When you browse the site
For analytics we record, in our own database, the following per-page-load technical metadata: the URL you viewed, the referrer (where you came from), your approximate country and city (from IP-derived geolocation — the IP itself is hashed and discarded), your device type, operating system and browser, screen size, browser language, and how long you stayed on each page. We do not capture form input, names, or anything you've typed into search boxes.
We use Microsoft Clarity to record session replays and heatmaps. Clarity processes this data on our behalf to help us understand how patients use the site. Clarity respects do-not-track headers; you can opt out at https://clarity.microsoft.com/terms.
When you call, message or email us
We retain phone-call records, WhatsApp message threads, and email correspondence as part of your treatment record where applicable. These are kept for as long as required under Indian medical-record retention rules.
Cookies
We set small cookies for session continuity (dcc_sid) and to remember your visitor identity across visits (dcc_vid in localStorage). Both are first-party and used only for traffic measurement. We don't sell or share these identifiers.
Why we collect it
- Deliver care: contact you to confirm appointments, send reminders, follow up after treatment, share aftercare instructions.
- Run the clinic: schedule chairs, assign specialists, prepare medical records.
- Improve the website: see which content patients find useful, identify broken or slow pages, refine the service descriptions.
- Marketing on our own surfaces: occasionally send appointment reminders or treatment-relevant updates to existing patients via WhatsApp or email. You can opt out at any time.
We do not share your information with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or any party outside the clinic for their own purposes.
How long we keep it

Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Know what we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Erase your information when there's no legal reason for us to keep it
- Withdraw consent at any time for any processing based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe we've handled your data improperly
To exercise any of these rights, email info@dentalcarecenter.org with a description of your request. We respond within 30 days.
Children
The website is not directed at children under 13. Where a parent or guardian books a consultation for a child patient, the parent's contact details are recorded — not the child's.
Security
We protect your data using industry-standard practices: TLS encryption in transit, hashed storage of authentication-relevant tokens, role-based access to clinic systems, and physical security of the medical records on premises. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe an incident has occurred, please email info@dentalcarecenter.org.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes that affect your rights, we'll notify existing patients by WhatsApp or email.
